Voice, Video & Media Assessment

Every voice call and video session depends on your network. Are you sure it's ready?

VoIP drops, frozen video, garbled audio. Users blame the app. IT blames the ISP. MCS shows you exactly where the problem is, and proves it with data.

The Real Cost

Poor call quality isn't a minor inconvenience. It's a business problem.

When a sales call drops mid-pitch, a support agent can't hear the customer, or a board meeting freezes every 30 seconds, people don't check the network dashboard. They lose trust in the tools, the IT team, and eventually the provider.

The frustrating part? Traditional speed tests say the connection is fine. That's because speed and quality are not the same thing. A connection can have plenty of bandwidth and still deliver terrible voice and video.

Jitter over 5ms distorts audio and causes video artifacts, but never shows up on a speed test
Latency above 150ms creates talk-over and awkward pauses that make conversations unusable
1% packet loss sounds small until 25 packets drop in a row and half a second of audio disappears
SIP ALG interference silently breaks call setup and registration without any error visible to the user
What MCS Measures

The metrics that actually determine call and video quality

MCS simulates real-world voice and video traffic end-to-end. Not a ping. Not a speed test. An actual simulation of how your media streams will perform across the network path.

Jitter

Upstream, downstream, and max. Variation in packet arrival time that distorts audio and video playback.

Packet Loss

Upstream and downstream. Lost packets mean missing audio and video frames your codec can't recover.

Packet Ordering

Out-of-order delivery forces the receiver to reorder or discard, adding delay and degrading quality.

MOS Scores

Mean Opinion Score. The industry-standard 1-5 rating that quantifies how a call actually sounds to the human ear.

Round Trip Time

Min, average, max, and consistency. High or erratic RTT creates talk-over and makes real-time interaction painful.

SIP Response Times

Register, Invite, and Bye transactions. Slow SIP means calls take too long to connect or fail silently.

SIP ALG Detection

Automatically identifies SIP Application Layer Gateway interference, one of the most common and hardest-to-find VoIP killers.

Distribution Loss

Upstream and downstream. Shows whether packet loss is spread evenly or clustered in bursts that destroy audio quality.

Packet Discards

Detects network-induced discards caused by congestion, revealing problems that simple loss metrics miss.

Who This Is For

If voice, video, or real-time media touches your business, this is for you

UCaaS & Hosted Voice Providers

Prove a customer's site is ready for production voice before you deploy, not after complaints start rolling in.

Teams, Zoom & Video Conferencing

Validate that the network can support real-time media before rollout, carrier change, or branch cutover.

Contact Centers & CCaaS

Voice quality is customer experience. Validate every agent location so call quality never becomes a CX problem.

Remote & Work-From-Home Teams

Your employees' home networks are now part of your infrastructure. Test them remotely before problems hit productivity.

SIP Trunking & PBX Migration

Qualify networks before cutover from legacy PBX to cloud voice. Prove the new path works, or find out why it won't.

Carriers, SBCs & Interconnects

Validate media paths across SIP interconnects, peering points, and multi-tenant voice infrastructure.

CPaaS, WebRTC & Embedded Voice

Building voice into your product? MCS validates the network and media path underneath your application layer.

MSPs, Resellers & Channel Partners

Bundle site qualification and ongoing voice assurance into every deployment. Turn testing into recurring service value.

AI Voice Agents & Conversational IVR

If the network path can't deliver natural, low-latency audio, the AI gets blamed. Validate the infrastructure first.

Compliance, E911 & Business Continuity

Emergency calling and voice continuity depend on network readiness. MCS validates the path so you can prove it works.

How It Works

Simulate. Measure. Fix. Before users notice.

MCS doesn't wait for complaints. It simulates real voice and video traffic across your network path and reports exactly what users would experience.

1

Place Test Points

Deploy satellites at branch offices, data centers, remote worker locations, or customer sites. Hardware appliances, software agents, or Raspberry Pi. Takes minutes.

2

Simulate Real Traffic

MCS generates actual VoIP and media traffic between endpoints. Not synthetic pings. Real packet flows that mirror how voice and video codecs behave on your network.

3

Get Proof, Not Opinions

See jitter, loss, MOS scores, SIP timings, and distribution patterns. Know whether a path is good enough for voice, or know exactly why it isn't. Run tests on-demand or automate them 24/7.

Built-In VoIP Assessment Portal

Give customers and users a self-service VoIP test

MCS lets you deploy branded VoIP assessment portals that your customers, end-users, or internal teams can access from any browser. No software to install.

  • Fully customizable portal UI with your own branding
  • Tests run from the user's browser with our lightweight BCS utility for full test accuracy
  • Results are stored centrally and segmentable by user, location, or session
  • Powerful API for integrating test results into your own workflows
  • Ideal for pre-qualification, onboarding, and ongoing support
